Fernando Hidalgo Lerdo de Tejada (Seville, Spain, 1978). B.A. in History (2001) and Advanced Studies Diploma in Early Modern History (2008) at University of Seville, and University Expert in Genealogy and Archives (2014) at University of Cordoba.
I am member of several genealogy organizations and genealogy societies like the Association of Professional Genealogists, the Asociación Riojana de Genealogía y Heráldica (Association of Genealogy and Heraldry of La Rioja, Spain) and the Asociación de Genealogía Hispana, HISPAGEN (Association of Hispanic Genealogy, HISPAGEN). Besides, I am member of the Colegio Oficial de Doctores y Licenciados en Filosofía y Letras y en Ciencias de Sevilla y Huelva, a professional organization for historians in the Andalusia region.
I have worked as professional genealogist during the last twenty years. As historian and genealogist I have researched in a lot of archives in Spain and I have published several articles on genealogy, among others, in the Anales de la Real Academia Matritense de Heráldica y Genealogía, in the Boletín de la Asociación Riojana de Genealogía y Heráldica, or in Cuadernos de Genealogía, de HISPAGEN. I have begun to print the results of my main researchs into my work Hidalguías del Reino de Sevilla, whose first volume was published in 2011.
Since 2003, I have participated, as contents manager, in the production of different museums, such as the Spanish Army Museum (Toledo, 2010), the Museum of Memory of Andalusia (Granada, 2009) and the Museum of Almería (2006), as well as temporary exhibitions, both in Spain (Triana tiles in the Carranza Collection, Seville, 2010) and abroad (Ibn Khaldun: between al-Andalus and Algeria, Algiers, 2007).
From the 2015-2016 academic year to the present, I combine historical and genealogical research and the contents management for exhibitions and museums with teaching different subjects in the area of Social Sciences in Secondary Education and Baccalaureate at the Colegio San José SS.CC. of Seville, teaching.
